Studying the Relationship between ICT Prevalence and Online Tourism BookingA Comparative Study between Saudi Arabia and Egypt

Abstract

Absract: Tourism is one of the fases growing indusries worldwide, during the las decades, tourismas an information intensive business has been srongly afected by the rapid changes in technology, especially the Internet which continues to gain importance in the tourism sector. Since the 1980s, Information Communication Technology (ICT) has been transforming tourism globally. One of the major results is the changing in traveler’s behavior. The purpose of this paper is to examine and describe the relationship between the expansion of ICT applications and the community’s behavior in tourism online booking, with a comparative sudy between Saudi and Egyptian Community. The paper depends on a descriptive and analytical approach based on analyzing the lates surveys and satisics conducted las 3 years in Middle Eas included Saudi Arabia & Egypt, to fnd indicators about the relationship between ICT prevalence and Online booking, especially in travel & tourism indusry.
